Food
Can I customize my meal or substitute ingredients?

We currently do not offer meal customization nor accept ingredient substitutions at this time.  However, feel free to check our catering menu at pepperberry.ca where we can create custom menus.

Are your meals fresh or frozen?

Our meals are prepared fresh the day before or the day of the delivery, never frozen.

Can I freeze my meals?

You can certainly freeze your meals if you want to. A freeze before date & heating instructions from frozen is included on the label.

How do I heat my meals?

Because our meals are already cooked, our meals and packaging are designed to be heated in the microwave. If you want to heat your meals in the oven, please transfer the food to an oven-safe dish. Do not use our containers in the oven. If you choose to freeze your meals, please refer to the heating instructions from frozen included on the label.

How many servings is each meal?

Each individual meal serves one person. Our family meals serve up to 4.

How long do the meals stay fresh for?

Our meals are made with only the freshest ingredients. Each will be labelled with the best before date. We highly recommend that you refrigerate your meals as soon as you receive them and keep your fridge temperature between 1-3 degrees Celsius.

If you wish to extend the life of the meals, you can freeze the meals. The freeze before date & heating instructions from frozen is included on the label.

Do you offer meals for specific dietary restrictions?

Yes. Our meals are labelled with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan labels.

Ordering
Is there a minimum order or weekly commitment?

There is a minimum order of $50 but no weekly commitment. All meals are a la carte.

How do I order?

You can select as few or as many meals as you like, individual size and/or family size. Simply add to cart and use any promotional codes on check out.

Is there a cut off day and time for the orders?

Yes, the order cut off is Wednesdays at noon, in order to receive your meals on Friday of the same week. For orders received past the cut off, we will do our best to accommodate your order, however, if it is received much past the cut off, your meals will be delivered the following Friday.

What if I want to cancel my order?

You can cancel your order within 24 hours from placing it for a full refund.

Do you charge for delivery?

We offer free delivery for orders at least $75 before taxes. Delivery fee of $15 applies to orders less than $75 (minimum $50).

Can I pick up my meals?

Yes you can pick up on Fridays at our location. Please note our cut off day and time for orders is Wednesday Noon to be eligible for pick up on Friday of the same week.

Where do you deliver?

We currently offer delivery to the following areas:

  • City of Toronto

  • Mississauga

  • Brampton

  • Vaughan

  • Richmond Hill

  • Markham

  • Pickering

  • Ajax

  • Whitby

  • Oshawa

Do you charge for delivery?

We deliver for free for orders at least $75 before taxes. Delivery fee of $15 applies to orders below $75 (minimum $50). For orders outside our delivery area, please inquire and our customer service team would advise you on the cost.

How often do you deliver?

We deliver on Fridays. We will contact you should there be changes to the expected day of delivery.

Do you deliver to apartments/condos?

Yes, we deliver to apartment and condo buildings as well as office buildings. If you do not have a concierge, you will need to provide a buzz code so that the driver has access to your building. If neither options are available, select the call on arrival delivery option and include clear instructions for parking and entering your building. You may also have your meals delivered to your workplace.

Can I get my meals delivered to my workplace?

Yes you can. Be sure to include your workplace address as the shipping address, select the Call on Arrival delivery option and include clear instructions for parking and entering your office building. Please ensure that your workplace is open during the specified delivery window.  We process our deliveries on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM depending on the area.     

Do I need to tip the delivery person?

Tips are optional. You have the option to add the tip when completing your order online.

What if I need to make changes to my delivery address or instructions?

We require changes to delivery addresses or instructions to be made at least 1 day in advance prior to food delivery.  We recommend once you made any last-minute changes, to additionally call our customer service team to ensure all is good.  We would also contact you if the changes can or can not be accommodated.

What if I am missing items in my delivery or have received the incorrect items?

Please notify us of any issues with your delivery via phone or email either the same day or within 1 business day of receiving your meals so that we can rectify any issues as soon as possible. For incorrect items, we require you to send the photos to order@pepperberry.ca.

Care Package Option
Can I send meals to someone else?

Yes. When placing an order, select the Care Package option and provide the information of your loved one. You also have option to add a personal message which we will include in your care package.
